The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murikka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Blue manages to avoid it.
Murikka throws out a loose jab but Blue uses good head movement to avoid it.
Murikka misses the jab.
Blue tries to close the distance and clinch but Murikka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Murikka fails to land the takedown.
Blue fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Murikka manages to avoid it.
Blue pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Blue misses the body punch
enabling Murikka to counter with a crisp jab.
Murikka takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Murikka fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Blue checks it well.
Blue uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Murikka.
Murikka smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Murikka counters with a head kick. That will keep Blue thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Murikka has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Blue finds it's way round the side to connect with Murikka's head.

Blue tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Murikka paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Murikka counters with a lovely straight right hand!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Blue takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Murikka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blue tries to avoid it but Murikka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blue to the ground. Blue escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Murikka stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Blue.
Murikka fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jussi Murikka. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Blue fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Murikka makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Blue really felt that one!

and Blue counters with a big head kick but Murikka shrugs it off.

Murikka works his foot free and advances to mount.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Blue wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Murikka.
Blue tries to hold on but Murikka pushes him away.
