Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bledge Stevenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse James!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ron Honeybunn and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for James.
Stevenson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

James looking to score a takedown here. Stevenson is defending well but James drives through and ends up in Stevenson's guard.

James is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
It looks like James might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
James with a flurry of punches that miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
James is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
James has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stevenson is proving hard to escape from.

James is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
James paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The crowd cheers as James lands an impressive looking overhand right. Stevenson doesn't seem phased though.

Excellent takedown into side control there by James.
James is staying tight to Stevenson's torso, preventing him from escaping.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
James cracks Stevenson with a big elbow.
James controlling the position from side mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
James lands some shots froms side control.

James just content to control the position.
James works to advance to full mount. Stevenson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
James controlling the pace for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that James has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jesse James dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Stevenson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows James to score an easy takedown into full guard.
James stands up over Stevenson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
James lands a couple of decent looking shots.
James would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
James engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
James is continuing to stall.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The adventures of James the control monster continue. Boring.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
James tries a head kick but it misses.
James turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Stevenson tries to keep at a distance but James has taken the fight into the clinch.

James has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Stevenson is trying to keep an underhook but James manages to get the takedown into half guard.
James controlling the pace.
James wants to free his trapped foot but Stevenson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
James looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stevenson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with James in particular looking to stall.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
James drops an elbow to the side of Stevenson's head.
James scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Stevenson is rocked!
James lands a big elbow - Stevenson is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for James!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesse James!
