The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aliyev looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

It looks like Haji Aliyev has been cut.
Aliyev lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

We've been told by Mountain's head coaches at Jorzi GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Aliyev takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Mountain lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

A clash of legs there as Mountain blocks the low kick.
Aliyev on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Aliyev has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mountain finds it's way round the side to connect with Aliyev's head.

Aliyev thows a leg kick but Mountain checks it
and Mountain counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Aliyev lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mountain's sensitive parts.
Aliyev lets loose with a powerful body kick. Mountain will feel that in the morning.
