Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jajami Omate (ranked 5775 p4p, 4973 weight class) and Pops Ceballos (ranked 417 p4p, 391 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pops Ceballos!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ceballos throws a body kick that misses.

Omate rushes Ceballos and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Ceballos works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Omate manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ceballos manages to get himself to full guard.

Omate throws a strike but Ceballos rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Ceballos stays in close to Omate's body and controls the position.
Ceballos won't allow Omate to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Omate escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ceballos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Omate fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Ceballos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Pops Ceballos dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Omate clinches up with Ceballos and pushes him back against the cage.

Ceballos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Omate goes for a double leg but Ceballos avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ceballos continues to drive forward.

Omate tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ceballos was well out of range. Poor timing from Omate.

Ceballos pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Omate back to the cage. Ceballos follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Ceballos has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ceballos drives through with a takedown into Omate's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Ceballos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Omate has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ceballos has managed to get both his arms back between Omate's legs - danger averted.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Omate enables Ceballos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Omate manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Omate is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ceballos is controlling him well.
Omate might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ceballos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
