The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dlask shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Phoenix manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Dlask tries to free his leg and advance position but Phoenix is retaining full guard.
Phoenix preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Dlask has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Dlask stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Phoenix swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dlask controls Phoenix momentarily but Phoenix frees himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Phoenix stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dlask swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Phoenix thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Phoenix drops back looking for a leg! Dlask is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dlask manages to kick Phoenix off! Phoenix jumps back into Dlask's guard.
