Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lars Kay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Philip Marcus!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcus throws a head kick but Kay moves out of range.
Kay moves forwards but Marcus connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kay takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Marcus lands a big head kick that sends Kay tumbling to the mat! Marcus takes a step backwards and waves Kay back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Kay is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marcus throws a leg kick which misses Kay's front leg but catches the back leg as Kay tries to avoid it.
Kay tries to score a power double leg takedown but Marcus sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kay somewhat.
Marcus cracks Kay with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Kay falls to his knees and Marcus doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Philip Marcus!
