Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kado Seyama (ranked 5109 p4p, 5799 weight class) and Saul Rivera (ranked 554 p4p, 598 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kado Seyama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Saul Rivera!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seyama looks to land a combination but Rivera avoids it well.

Rivera shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rivera showed some decent athleticism there.
Rivera prevents Seyama from improving his position.

Seyama actively working from the bottom here.
Rivera is thwarting Seyama's attempts to control the position.
Rivera stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rivera is trying to control. Seyama wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Rivera slows the pace down in half guard.

Seyama makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Seyama.
Rivera wants to get up but he can't break Seyama's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Seyama controls Rivera momentarily but Rivera frees himself.

Seyama is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Seyama is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Seyama is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rivera doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Seyama.

Seyama looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Seyama seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rivera does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Rivera makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rivera.

Seyama postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rivera is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Seyama, into his guard.

Seyama had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rivera defends it easily.
Seyama tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rivera wants to control from the top but Seyama keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Seyama trying to keep a closed guard but Rivera is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rivera is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kado Seyama will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Rivera drives through with a takedown into Seyama's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Seyama working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rivera doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Seyama is tightening it up a little... Rivera has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Rivera reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Rivera taps out! Nice BJJ there by Seyama!
