Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dr Rape (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Godbey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Godbey has chosen Back in Black as his entrance music. John Godbey looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rape takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Rape is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Godbey is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Rape has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Godbey off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Godbey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Godbey moves in looking to clinch but Rape pushes him off.
Godbey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rape is fending him off so far but Godbey persists. Nope, Rape circles away and we're back to standing.

Rape tries to pull guard but Godbey holds him up against the cage and eventually Rape drops back down to his feet.

Rape drops down looking for an ankle pick but Godbey pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rape looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rape is fighting off a takedown attempt but Godbey is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rape to the mat. Rape regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rape wants to stand but Godbey is controlling his posture from full guard.
Rape wants to pass the guard but Godbey is keeping the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Godbey is on top in guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Godbey gets to his feet. Rape looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Rape shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Godbey's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rape is squirming around, avoiding Godbey's attempts to control the action.

Rape tries to lock up and control but Godbey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
