Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Alvarez (ranked 4287 p4p, 2960 weight class) and Dillon Danis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jackson Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dillon Danis!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Dillon Danis has been cut.
Alvarez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Alvarez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Alvarez throws a right and a left that Danis avoids nicely.
Danis tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Alvarez looks to land a combination but Danis avoids it well.
Nice uppercut lands for Alvarez. That snapped Danis's head back.
Danis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alvarez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Danis circles away quickly and effectively.
Jackson Alvarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Danis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alvarez, pushing him back against the cage.

Danis fails to pull guard.
Danis tries to pull guard but Alvarez forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Danis fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jackson Alvarez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dillon Danis.
Danis is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Alvarez gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Alvarez on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Danis decides to pull guard.
Danis is trying to keep Alvarez in close.
Alvarez wants to stand but Danis is controlling his posture from full guard.
Alvarez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Danis on the ground.

Danis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Danis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Alvarez wanted to stand there but Danis had control of the position.
Danis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Danis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alvarez keeps working.
Danis prevents Alvarez from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alvarez trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Danis is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Danis has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Danis fails to take his opponent's back.

Danis working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Alvarez defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Danis.

Danis is trying to take his opponent's back.
Alvarez is trying to stand up.
Danis wants to control the pace but Alvarez is squirming around nicely.

Danis has hold of Alvarez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Alvarez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dillon Danis will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Alvarez lunges at Danis with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Danis's hand.
Jackson Alvarez is winning the standup battle so far.
Alvarez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Danis momentarily.

That has opened up Dillon Danis's cut even more.
A right-left combo lands from Alvarez.
Danis fails with an attempt to clinch.

Alvarez gets caught napping as Danis dives in and scores a takedown. Alvarez manages to retain guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Danis won't allow Alvarez to get back to his feet.
Danis wants to pass the guard but Alvarez is keeping the position.
Alvarez can't keep his opponent in guard - Danis advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Alvarez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Alvarez tries to get out of the position.
Danis wants to pass the guard but Alvarez is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alvarez is refusing to be controlled, as Danis sits in half guard.
Danis not doing much here.
Danis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Alvarez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Danis seems to be looking for submissions.
Alvarez is trying to stand.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Danis wants to control but Alvarez is keeping him busy.
Alvarez pushes Danis off looking to stand but Danis dives back in and keeps control.

Danis is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alvarez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Danis.

Danis trying to control the action but Alvarez is working from the bottom.

Danis seems to be working for a kimura but Alvarez defends the submission attempt.
Danis works his foot free and advances to mount.
Danis is landing with some decent strikes but Alvarez is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Danis is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Alvarez has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Danis controlling the position easily from mount.
Alvarez is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Danis has taken his back!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Danis's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Alvarez is trying to stand back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dillon Danis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Alvarez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Alvarez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Alvarez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alvarez lands with an uppercut that bounces Danis off the cage and back into range.
Some wild striking there from Alvarez.
Alvarez tries to bum rush Danis with a series of wild strikes but Danis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Alvarez fails to land with a series of punches.
Alvarez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Danis circles away quickly and effectively.
Alvarez keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Some wild striking there from Alvarez.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big right from Alvarez misses.
Alvarez moves away from the strike by Danis.
Alvarez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Danis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Danis fails with the takedown.
Jackson Alvarez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Alvarez avoids the head kick by Danis.
Danis is looking to clinch but Alvarez is avoiding it.
Alvarez misses with a few strikes there.
Danis wants to clinch.

Danis fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Alvarez to the ground. Danis is now in Alvarez's guard.
Danis advances position into side control!
Danis advances to full mount.

Danis working for a guillotine from mount but Alvarez is in no mood to give up.

Danis is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Alvarez can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Danis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Danis wants to control the pace but Alvarez is squirming around nicely.

Danis swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dillon Danis!
In his post fight interview, Dillon Danis started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
