Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Mill (ranked 6886 p4p, 6906 weight class) and Ann Cox (ranked 689 p4p, 690 weight class). Dwayne Mill has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dwayne Mill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ann Cox!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mill gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cox to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Cox tries to free his leg and advance position but Mill is retaining full guard.
Mill is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cox wants to control from the top but Mill keeps moving.
Cox slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Cox preventing the sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cox stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mill swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mill is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Mill keeping moving, preventing Cox from controlling successfully.
Cox trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Cox has managed to clinch.

Cox has hold of one of Mill's legs. Mill is fighting the takedown attempt but Cox gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Cox is looking to pass into half guard but Mill pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Mill is in guard.

Cox wants to sweep but no luck.
Cox is wriggling around but Mill manages to pass to half guard.

Mill is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Cox wants to get back to full guard but Mill has mounted him!
Cox told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Cox is controlling an arm, preventing Mill from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
The referee warns Cox that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cox is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Cox keeps trying to improve his position.

Mill has control of Cox's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cox regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mill is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cox can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Cox tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Cox tries to lock up and control but Mill gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Cox is trying to reverse the position but instead Mill has taken his back - oops!

Cox looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Mill biding his time, looking for the opening.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cox is really stuck here.

That's time! Mill's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Mill closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cox circles away.
Cox shoots in for a takedown but Mill shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mill is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cox can do to turn this around?

Cox looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mill is fending him off so far but Cox persists. Nope, Mill circles away and we're back to standing.
Mill throws a big counter combination but Cox scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Mill changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cox tries to avoid it but Mill manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cox to the ground. Cox escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cox is breathing heavily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cox is defended easily by Mill.
Cox looks for a takedown but Mill sprawls well.
Cox changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mill tries to avoid it but Cox manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mill to the ground. Mill escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cox is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mill is aware though and is defending well.

Mill trying to control the position from guard on top but Cox is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dwayne Mill will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Cox wants a takedown but no success here.
Mill drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cox gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Cox pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cox misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
As Cox looks to move away, Mill throws a big counter combo but Cox just gets out of the way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mill moves out of range of the strikes.
Mill looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Mill shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cox as he avoids it easily.

Cox tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mill sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cox somewhat.
