Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Darko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manolo Sam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sam comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hells Bells kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Manolo Sam was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sam tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Darko swivels and escapes.
Sam throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Darko's waist but Darko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sam off to one side.
Sam shoots in for a double leg but Darko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Donnie Darko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manolo Sam.
Darko avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Darko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Darko keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sam's head.
Darko pushes down on Sam's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Darko connects with a nice short shot to Sam's temple.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Sam is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Darko drops an elbow to the side of Sam's head.

Darko tries to control but Sam wriggling away.
Darko lands a big shot there that rocks Sam but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Darko is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sam can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Darko fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Darko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Darko cracks Sam with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Darko! Sam is hurt baaadly! Darko is firing away with more strikes - Sam is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
