The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hamundarson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Maczek tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hamundarson is in Maczek 's guard.
Maczek looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hamundarson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Maczek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hamundarson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Maczek felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Hamundarson loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Maczek scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Hamundarson land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Hamundarson stands and salutes the crowd.
