Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hyoga de Cisne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Konji Yamaski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hyoga de Cisne!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Konji Yamaski!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Cisne shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yamaski pinned against the cage. Yamaski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from de Cisne.
Yamaski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but de Cisne circles away quickly and effectively.

de Cisne is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
de Cisne seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Yamaski for as long as he can get away with.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as de Cisne accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

de Cisne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yamaski swivels though and keeps the full guard.

de Cisne won't allow Yamaski to sweep him here.
de Cisne has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
de Cisne controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Yamaski pushes de Cisne off and gets back to his feet.

de Cisne closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Yamaski is looking to improve his position.

de Cisne is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Yamaski works his way to full guard. Good work.

de Cisne drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and de Cisne jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Yamaski looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Yamaski can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as de Cisne controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

de Cisne postures up and lands a big shot to Yamaski's brow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yamaski will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Yamaski holds on and takes a little breather.

de Cisne thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
de Cisne tries to free his leg and advance position but Yamaski is retaining full guard.
de Cisne really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Yamaski looking to control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
de Cisne shoots in but Yamaski avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hyoga de Cisne. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Yamaski looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
de Cisne is trying to control but can't.
de Cisne is looking for a sweep. Yamaski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Yamaski is working for a kimura but de Cisne is defending it quite comfortably.

Yamaski is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, de Cisne has managed to free his arm - good work.
Yamaski is breathing heavily.

de Cisne tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

de Cisne is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Yamaski pulls his head out easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

de Cisne decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Yamaski is looking to improve his position.
de Cisne prevents Yamaski from standing back up.
de Cisne keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
de Cisne scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

de Cisne looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Yamaski has hold of de Cisne's hands but de Cisne slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
de Cisne landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Yamaski is looking for a sweep. de Cisne is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
de Cisne moves into full mount! Yamaski won't be happy about that!
de Cisne lands a heavy elbow.
Hyoga de Cisne overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
de Cisne scores with a couple of good head shots there.

de Cisne has control of Yamaski's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Yamaski regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Yamaski is bucking up trying to escape but de Cisne cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

de Cisne is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Yamaski can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

de Cisne is working for a guillotine from mount but Yamaski frees his head quite easily.

de Cisne wants to control the pace but Yamaski is squirming around nicely.

Yamaski tries to hold on but de Cisne pushes him away.

de Cisne will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
de Cisne fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



de Cisne shoots in and bounces Yamaski off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

de Cisne throws a strike but Yamaski rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are battling for position here. Yamaski manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Yamaski has his foot on de Cisne's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. de Cisne works his way back into a safe position though.

Hyoga de Cisne showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for de Cisne, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
