Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Red (ranked 4417 p4p, 4318 weight class) and Sinethemba Adofo (ranked 500 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Red!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sinethemba Adofo!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adofo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Red defends well and Adofo ends up having to push Red into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A counter left hand to the body from Red misses its target.

Red manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Adofo on his heels. He'll look to pass Adofo's guard now, I'm sure.
Adofo is looking to stand back up but Red counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Adofo.

Red decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Adofo feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Reds jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

enabling Red to counter with a crisp jab.

Red rushes Adofo and presses him up against the cage.
Adofo is working for takedown but Red is calmly controlling the position for now.
John Red has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sinethemba Adofo.
Adofo fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Red goes for a takedown in the clinch but Adofo prevents it.

Adofo tries to pull guard but Red forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Red decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Adofo throws a series of punches but Red avoids them all with ease.
Red half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Red closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Adofo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Adofo tries to pull guard but Red holds him up against the cage and eventually Adofo drops back down to his feet.

Red bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Adofo shoots for a takedown but Red saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Red fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Adofo sprawls well initially but Red persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Red is thwarting Adofo's attempts to control the position.
Red throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Adofo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Adofo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Red is working for a guillotine from mount but Adofo frees his head quite easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Red shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Adofo is trying to defend but Red finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
