The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones walks into a stiff left hand from Bartz.
The crowd cheers as Jones lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bartz doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Chad Bartz has been cut.
Nice body punch from Bartz.
Bartz is looking to chop away at Jones's legs.
Bartz has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Grunt in the buildup to the fight.
Bartz misses with a jab to the body
and Jones counters with a slapping leg kick.
Bartz tries a low kick but Jones avoids it.
Jones throws out a counter right but Bartz avoids it with no problem.
Bartz lands a leg kick that knocks Jones off balance momentarily.
Bartz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones scores with the left hand. Bartz knows he should have avoided that one.
A low kick lands for Bartz.
Bartz misses with a low kick.

Jones drops Bartz with a big left hand and mounts him. Bartz is in big trouble!
Bartz is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jones avoids the attempt from Bartz to control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bartz is trying to reverse the position but instead Jones has taken his back - oops!
You can see the frustration on Bartz's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Jones has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
