Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wellington Strich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Vieira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wellington Strich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabriel Vieira!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vieira feints and as Strich raises his hands in defense, Vieira changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Strich is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Vieira preventing the sweep.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Strich shoots in looking for a takedown. Vieira tries to sprawl out of it but Strich keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vieira manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Strich is looking to clinch.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Vieira slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Strich is trying to control the position but Vieira postures up.
Vieira stays in close to Strich's body and controls the position.
Strich bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vieira's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Strich slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Strich has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Vieira seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Strich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vieira swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Strich takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Vieira wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Strich, who protects the arm well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Strich is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Gabriel Vieira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Vieira wants to lay and pray for a moment but Strich keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Gabriel Vieira is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I've got Vieira winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
