Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mister Sister (ranked 5247 p4p, 3930 weight class) and Benedicte Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Benedicte Swanson enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mister Sister!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 23 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Benedicte Swanson!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sister tries to clinch up
and Swanson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Swanson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sister sprawls well initially but Swanson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sister tries to kick Swanson off in order to stand up. Swanson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Swanson stands up.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sister crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Swanson - the referee stops the clock and Sister gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Swanson. Sister manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Sister takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Sister moves to clinch but Swanson breaks away
and Swanson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Swanson connects with a nice looking jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sister fails with the takedown
and Swanson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Sister misses with a left hand
letting Swanson counter with a right hand.
Sister shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Swanson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Swanson pushes Sister up against the cage in a clinch.
Sister's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Swanson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Swanson lands with a left to the head.
Still in the clinch, Swanson scores with a nice short uppercut.
Swanson cracks Sister with a nice body shot.

Swanson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Sister trying to control but Swanson is working from the bottom.
Swanson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Sister trying to control the position from guard on top but Swanson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Swanson wants to sweep but no luck.
Swanson has his hands on Sister's head, controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Swanson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A nice leg kick from Swanson, right into the meat of the thigh.

Swanson moves into the clinch successfully.
Swanson lands a left hand.

Swanson pulls guard successfully.
Swanson has control of Sister's left arm, preventing Sister from doing any damage.
Swanson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sister wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Swanson is now in half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
My spies in 3Band MMA inform me that Swanson has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Sister tries for a takedown but Swanson circles away easily
and Swanson finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Swanson throws a nice outside leg kick.

Swanson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sister, pushing him back against the cage.

Swanson tightens his grip and picks Sister up, before dumping him to the ground. Sister manages to land in guard.

Swanson is continuing to stall.
Swanson gets to mount! Sister was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Swanson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sister wants to hold on but Swanson pushes him away.

Sister tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Benedicte Swanson has got the better of the ground game so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sister tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Benedicte Swanson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Sister's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Swanson has hold of one of Sister's legs. Sister is fighting the takedown attempt but Swanson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Swanson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
More stalling from Swanson.

Swanson stands up from guard. Let's bang!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Swanson feints and as Sister raises his hands in defense, Swanson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Swanson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jab, jab by Swanson - just one landing.
Sister swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Swanson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sister's knee momentarily.

Benedicte Swanson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Sister wants to clinch but Swanson slips to the side
and Swanson counters with a body kick that stops Sister in his tracks momentarily.
Sister throws a combination that misses
and Sister takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mister Sister has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sister takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Swanson scores with a decent looking hook.

Swanson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sister bucks up and tries to throw Swanson off but instead Swanson has got his back!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sister is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Let's hope that Swanson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

You can see the frustration on Sister's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
What can Sister do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Well Swanson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
