Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Hutchinson (ranked 4349 p4p, 4277 weight class) and Izzy Scrooge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hutchinson leaves Scrooge with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hutchinson tries to counter with a takedown but Scrooge is quick to defend against it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hutchinson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Scrooge is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Scrooge has escaped and now he's on top!

The referee asks Scrooge politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Scrooge prefers to stall for the moment though.

Scrooge is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hutchinson's shoulder. That is not cool.

Scrooge decides to stand back up. Scrooge steps back and let's Hutchinson get back to his feet.

Scrooge ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hutchinson moves away.

Hutchinson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

It looked like Hutchinson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Scrooge has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hutchinson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Hutchinson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Scrooge thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Hutchinson is sitting in close to Scrooge's body. Scrooge has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hutchinson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hutchinson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Scrooge.
