Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Weasel (ranked 2501 p4p, 3880 weight class) and Chunk Liddell (ranked 323 p4p, 483 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Charles Weasel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chunk Liddell!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick from Liddell, right into the meat of the thigh.
Weasel misses with a takedown attempt - Liddell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Weasel dives in for a single leg takedown but Liddell sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Liddell manages to break the clinch.
Weasel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Weasel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Liddell tries to land a leg kick but Weasel saw it coming and moves away.
Weasel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Liddell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Weasel somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Weasel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Liddell was covering up waiting for the punch and Weasel finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Liddell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Liddell sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Weasel's guard.
Weasel is staying active underneath Liddell, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Liddell is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Weasel makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Weasel.
Liddell content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Liddell seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Chunk Liddell dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Weasel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Liddell as he avoids it easily.

Liddell scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Weasel is looking to control Liddell's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Weasel avoid being mounted?

Liddell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Weasel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Liddell tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Liddell has control of Weasel's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Weasel regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Weasel throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Liddell avoids the attempt from Weasel to control.
Weasel is wriggling around trying to escape.
Weasel tries to hold on but Liddell pushes him away.
Weasel is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Catch Wrestling L.A., so we'll see if he gets out of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Liddell takes Weasel's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Weasel is in trouble.
Liddell wants to control but Weasel is keeping busy.
Weasel tries to roll but Liddell sticks to his back.

Liddell lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

Chunk Liddell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Weasel closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Liddell is refusing to be controlled, as Weasel sits in half guard.
Weasel is thwarting Liddell's attempts to control the position.
Weasel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Liddell keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Weasel blocks a low kick nicely.
Liddell misses with a body kick.
Weasel shoots in for a double leg but Liddell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That kick from Liddell tenderised Weasel's leg. Weasel is trying to keep his angry face on.
Weasel tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Liddell defends well and Weasel ends up having to push Liddell into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Liddell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Weasel is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Liddell can't get the takedown.
Weasel jumps guard but Liddell stands there with Weasel around his waist. Weasel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Weasel wants to take the fight to the mat but Liddell manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Weasel tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Liddell smiles and moves away.
Liddell throws a nice inside leg kick.
Nice takedown defense from Liddell. No joy for Weasel on that attempt.

Weasel does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Liddell misses with a body kick.

Chunk Liddell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Liddell winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
