Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Champ Johnson (ranked 2990 p4p, 3085 weight class) and Sebastian Bach (ranked 363 p4p, 370 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - Ain't No Sunshine . The key to victory for Champ Johnson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Champ Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Sebastian Bach!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson moves away from the strike by Bach.
Johnson swings away with a body shot that misses
and Bach counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Johnson lands with a shot to the body.
Bach misses with a combination
and Johnson counters with a right hand to the body.
Bach falls off balance throwing a combination
and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A big left from Bach misses.
Johnson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Bach looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range.
Johnson throws an off balance right hand
enabling Bach to counter with a crisp jab.
Johnson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at MONEY TEAM!!! in the buildup to the fight.
Johnson thuds his right hand into Bach's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Bach shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Johnson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet but Bach drags him back down.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bach working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Bach cracks Johnson with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Johnson pushes Bach away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bach gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Bach shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Bach throws a head kick that misses
and Johnson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bach throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bach bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
Johnson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bach working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Johnson is trying to buck Bach off.
Bach has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Johnson is not content to let Bach control the position.
Bach looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Johnson is avoiding damage well.

Bach thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Johnson avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Bach.
Johnson is trying to buck Bach off.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bach tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bach has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Johnson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bach throws a strike aimed at the side of Johnson's head but Johnson avoids it well.
Johnson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bach is controlling him well.
Bach lands an elbow.
Bach prevents Johnson from escaping the position.

Bach tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Johnson is trying to buck Bach off.

Johnson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Johnson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bach.
Champ Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bach tries to score a power double leg takedown but Johnson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bach somewhat.
Johnson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Johnson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Bach ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nice shot by Johnson.

It looks like Sebastian Bach has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bach throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Johnson.
Johnson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Johnson is looking to clinch but Bach is avoiding it.
Bach with the counter takedown but Johnson avoids it easily.
Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bach.
Johnson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Bach with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Johnson to score with a decent uppercut.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Champ Johnson dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Sebastian Bach's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!

Bach pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Johnson throwing a counter right hand but Bach manages to avoid it.
Bach uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Johnson.
Johnson scores with a punch to the head.
Johnson walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Bach drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Johnson swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Bach's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Champ Johnson!
Champ Johnson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
