Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Hooper (ranked 4184 p4p, 6356 weight class) and Shinohara Sosuke (ranked 474 p4p, 622 weight class). Sosuke has chosen Samurai as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinohara Sosuke!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hooper pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sosuke circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sosuke lands with an overhand left.

It looks like Chris Hooper has been cut.
Sosuke tries to clinch up.
Hooper misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sosuke! But no joy.
Sosuke throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hooper.
Hooper tries a head kick but it misses.
Hooper tries to bum rush Sosuke with a series of wild strikes but Sosuke uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sosuke has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hooper is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Hooper thumps Sosuke with a low kick.
Hooper throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A little jabbing left from Sosuke on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Chris Hooper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sosuke lands with a straight right. Hooper didn't see that one coming.
Hooper tries to clinch up.
Sosuke scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hooper in his tracks.
Hooper throws a head kick that Sosuke semi-blocks.
We've been told by Hooper's head coaches at Shadow Warriors (KT) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hooper fails to land with a series of punches.
Sosuke cracks Hooper with an open hand slap.
Sosuke shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hooper eats them both and turns towards Sosuke to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Hooper is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sosuke darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Hooper is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hooper lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
A nice inside leg kick there by Hooper. That's going to slow Sosuke down.
Hooper throws a series of punches but Sosuke avoids them all with ease.
Hooper tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sosuke manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hooper misses with a few strikes there.
Sosuke chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hooper can pounce on him.
Sosuke lands a nice shot that snaps Hooper's head back.

Sosuke lands a big uppercut and Hooper crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hooper looks OK. Sosuke waves Hooper back to his feet!
Oh Hooper is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sosuke knocks out Hooper with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Sosuke before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Sosuke picks up the big W with a huge KO!
