Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Oliveira (ranked 3414 p4p, 6419 weight class) and Yamato Damashii (ranked 410 p4p, 623 weight class). This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oliveira clinches with his opponent.

Oliveira breaks from the clinch.
Damashii misses the shot to the body.
Oliveira tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Damashii swivels and escapes.
Damashii blocks a head kick by Oliveira.
Oliveira is looking to clinch.
A solid leg kick lands there for Damashii.

Damashii clinches up against the cage.
Damashii is looking to control Oliveira's arms but Oliveira gets an underhook and turns him. Now Damashii has his back to the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Damashii is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Damashii sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Oliveira doesn't manage to clinch there - Damashii circles away.
Oliveira throws a sloppy head kick and Damashii moves out of range easily.
Oliveira shoots in looking for a takedown. Damashii tries to sprawl out of it but Oliveira keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Damashii manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Damashii forces Oliveira back against the cage and clinches.

Oliveira is looking for a kimura but Damashii is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Oliveira to get the leverage.
Damashii is in trouble now - Oliveira has advanced to mount!

Oliveira has hold of Damashii's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Damashii manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Damashii manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Damashii is doing well to control the position and prevent Oliveira from advancing to side control.
Oliveira slips a nice elbow through Damashii's hands, connecting with Damashii's forehead.
