Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kotaro Asakura!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hornby tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Asakura paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hornby has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Asakura connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Asakura - that will leave a mark!

Asakura follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Asakura has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hornby tries to bum rush Asakura with a series of wild strikes but Asakura uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Asakura feints and then cracks Hornby's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hornby down.
Asakura lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Hornby is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
