Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Warner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Clerk Maxwell!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warner shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Clerk Maxwell sprawls well. Clerk Maxwell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Warner gets slowly back to his feet.
Warner takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Warner darts in trying to clinch
and Clerk Maxwell counters with a right hand to the body.
Warner tries to clinch but Clerk Maxwell moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clerk Maxwell digs a good body shot into Warner's ribs.
Clerk Maxwell connects with a body shot that sends Warner's belly button to the back.
Clerk Maxwell lands a jab to the head.
Clerk Maxwell throws a shot from downtown. Warner moves away and avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Clerk Maxwell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Warner looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Clerk Maxwell scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Warner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Warner shoots in and drives through. Clerk Maxwell sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Warner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Clerk Maxwell looks to score with a jab to the body but Warner is just out of range.
Warner moves forwards but Clerk Maxwell connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Warner is rocked!
Clerk Maxwell lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Warner up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Clerk Maxwell from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Warner's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). James Clerk Maxwell!
A very excited looking James Clerk Maxwell made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
