The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tripp lands a head shot.
Tripp stuffs the takedown.
Tripp throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Tripp scores with a push kick.
Mendy misses with a jab to the body
and Tripp cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Tripp defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mendy.
A solid body kick from Tripp.
Tripp dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Mendy looks winded!
Tripp lands the left hand.

It looks like Pierre Ragout Mendy has been cut.
Tripp throws a nice inside leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tripp connects with a body shot.
Mendy misses with a looping left.
Tripp looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Mendy dives in and grabs Tripp's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tripp pushes down on Mendy's head and hops out.
CJ Tripp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pierre Ragout Mendy.

Mendy misses with a takedown attempt
and Tripp counters with a body kick that stops Mendy in his tracks momentarily.
Mendy is still on wobbly legs! Can Tripp finish him?

Mendy takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Tripp.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Tripp. Mendy shrugs it off though.
Tripp scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Mendy seems to have recovered his senses.
Tripp throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Mendy has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Tripp.

Mendy tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Nice body kick there by Tripp.
Tripp with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Tripp lands a big head kick that sends Mendy tumbling to the mat! Tripp takes a step backwards and waves Mendy back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Tripp counters with a right hand from hell and Mendy is out cold! A vicious knockout!
