Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stubb pulls out of a head kick attempt.

It looks like Michael Stubb has been cut.
Murphy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stubb circles away quickly and effectively.

No joy there for Murphy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Stubb has managed to clinch.

Stubb drags the fight down to the ground.
Stubb controls Murphy momentarily but Murphy frees himself.
Murphy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stubb swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stubb is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Stubb looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Murphy has picked Stubb up and slammed him! Stubb can't keep hold of the triangle and Murphy manages to pass to side control!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Murphy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stubb is just riding it out for now. Murphy eventually gives up the hold.

Stubb is trying to work for a kimura but Murphy is defending well.
Murphy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stubb's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stubb's back!

Stubb is looking to improve his position but Murphy isn't that keen on the idea.
Murphy is landing with some decent strikes but Stubb is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Murphy throws some wild stikes that Stubb manages to avoid easily.
Murphy thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Stubb tries to reverse the position but Murphy maintains control.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stubb wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Murphy is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Murphy gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Murphy gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Murphy apologises and we restart here on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirk Murphy dominated that round.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Murphy closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Stubb tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Murphy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stubb swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Murphy drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stubb dives on top into guard.

Stubb drops back looking for a leg! Murphy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Murphy manages to kick Stubb off! Stubb jumps back into Murphy's guard.
Stubb slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Murphy gets back to half guard.

Murphy is breathing heavily.

Stubb is working to tighten is grip on Murphy's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Murphy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Stubb is really squeezing tight and eventually Murphy passes out! Stubb breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
