Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yaroslav Bekhterev (ranked 3689 p4p, 2000 weight class) and Dick Passwater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yaroslav Bekhterev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dick Passwater!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Passwater walks into a jab.
Bekhterev throws a poor cross that misses
and Passwater moves into the clinch.
Bekhterev looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Bekhterev tries to break free but Passwater pushes him back against the cage.
Bekhterev can't find room to land a body shot as Passwater controls the action.
Passwater tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Passwater scores with a hook to the body.
Passwater has Bekhterev pressed against the cage, preventing Bekhterev from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Bekhterev wants to get back to striking at distance but Passwater won't allow it.

I was talking to Bekhterev's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A right hook to the body lands for Passwater.
Bekhterev wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Passwater lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Passwater digs a right hand underneath Bekhterev's ribcage. Bekhterev let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Bekhterev tries to break free but Passwater pushes him back against the cage.

Oh Bekhterev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Passwater makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Passwater keeps control of Bekhterev as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Passwater drops Bekhterev onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Bekhterev is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Passwater pushes Bekhterev back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Passwater lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Passwater working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Passwater lands a big right hand that drops Bekhterev! The killer instinct kicks in and Passwater finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Passwater!
