Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lino Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Richard Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Anderson, pushing him back against the cage.
Silva swings wildly with an uppercut but Anderson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Silva swings away with an uppercut that misses.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Silva.
Anderson lands a nice uppercut.
Anderson managing to block the knees to the body from Silva.
Anderson blocks an elbow strike.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
A head punch on the inside from Silva fails to land.
Anderson avoiding damage as Silva throws knees to the body.

Anderson pulls guard effortlessly.
Silva stopping the sweep attempt from Anderson.
Silva tries to stand but Anderson is controlling from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson wants to sweep but no luck.
Anderson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Anderson won't allow Silva to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard.
Silva wants to stand but Anderson is controlling the position.
Silva is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Outlier Martial Arts that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Anderson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
My spies in Jed's Gym inform me that Anderson has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Anderson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Anderson darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Anderson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Silva fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A right handed body shot lands from Anderson.

Anderson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Silva backwards.

Anderson lands a body shot in the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Silva fails to land.
Silva throws an elbow but it misses.
Silva tries to throw a body punch but Anderson avoids it by throwing Silva back against the cage.
Silva takes a shot to the head.
A nice left hand lands by Anderson.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Anderson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Silva backwards.
Anderson is pushing Silva up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Anderson pushes Silva back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Anderson has Silva pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Silva manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Anderson digs a right hand underneath Silva's ribcage. Silva let out a lung full of air as it connected.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Anderson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Silva is rocked!
Anderson stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Anderson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Silva regains guard.
Anderson is standing up over Silva. Silva looks to escape but Anderson dives into side control.


Anderson has an Americana. Silva didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Anderson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Anderson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Richard Anderson!
Richard Anderson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
