The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Borrego. That's going to slow Pereira down.
Borrego looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Pereira drives through with a takedown into guard.
Borrego is pulling down on Pereira's head. It's preventing any offense from Pereira, at least for the moment.

Pereira avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Pereira is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Borrego is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Borrego has escaped and now he's on top!

Borrego slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pereira is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pereira is trying to push Borrego off with his feet but Borrego grabs hold of one of the legs and drops back looking for a submission! He's cranking on one of Pereira's ankles and Pereira is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaall over!
