Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Oliveira (ranked 3631 p4p, 1904 weight class) and Tom Eli (ranked 456 p4p, 259 weight class). Tom Eli is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gustavo Oliveira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tom Eli!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oliveira changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Eli looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Eli is looking to reverse the position.
Oliveira is looking to take a break and control but Eli is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Oliveira is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Eli is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Oliveira slows the pace down.
Oliveira's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oliveira looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Eli with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Eli is bucking up trying to escape but Oliveira cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Oliveira changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Eli tries to avoid it but Oliveira manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Eli to the ground. Eli escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Oliveira seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Eli for as long as he can get away with.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Let's hope that Eli has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Oliveira shoots in looking for a takedown. Eli tries to sprawl out of it but Oliveira keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Eli manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A little jabbing left from Eli on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Oliveira accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
