Alvarez comes to the cage accompanied by Jak Bailey - Sunset N Santa Fe. Barnett is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: This is WAR by - GWAR. This should be a great matchup!

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez throws an overhand right that lands on Barnett's shoulder, as Barnett tries to avoid the shot.
Alvarez moves into range and connects with a jab.
Barnett drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Alvarez pushes Barnett off and gets back to his feet.
Barnett ducks under a wild hook from Alvarez.

Barnett moves forwards but Alvarez connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Warmaster Barnett has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barnett steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Alvarez.
Alvarez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Barnett.

Alvarez misses with a few strikes there.
Barnett shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Barnett showed some decent athleticism there.
Barnett is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Alvarez is just riding it out for now. Barnett eventually gives up the hold.

Barnett is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Alvarez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Alvarez tries to get out of the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
