The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Perez prevents Torres from getting the reversal.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Perez wants to control the pace but Torres is squirming around nicely.

Torres bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Perez's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Perez scores with a crisp jab that stopped Torres in his tracks.
Perez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Perez is looking to clinch but Torres is avoiding it.
Perez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Torres shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Perez as he avoids it easily.

Perez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Perez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Torres is working away from the top position though.

Torres is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Perez! Torres is out on his feet! Perez rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Torres is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Torres is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
