PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Spade (ranked 4914 p4p, 3054 weight class) and Kiki Eketone (ranked 580 p4p, 381 weight class). Spade comes into the arena with Ace of spades by Motorhead blaring out of the sound system. Kiki Eketone will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eketone displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Spade throws out the jab.
Eketone just misses with a punch to the body.
Spade shoots in for a takedown but Eketone shows good takedown defense.
Eketone lands with a straight right. Spade didn't see that one coming.

Spade closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Spade is trying to get an arm triangle but Eketone is defending well.

Spade is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Eketone is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Eketone is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Spade is controlling him well.
Spade wants to lay and pray for a moment but Eketone keeps working.

Spade goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Eketone has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Spade but great work by Eketone.

Eketone wants to stand but Spade has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.

Eketone got a little sloppy there for a moment and Spade has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Eketone has managed to get both his arms back between Spade's legs - danger averted.

Eketone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Eketone avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Spade definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Spade will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Spade is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Eketone defends well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Spade is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Eketone has his hands clasped together but Spade extends and breaks Eketone's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Spade.
