Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Chong (ranked 2348 p4p, 4779 weight class) and Calvin Fitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas Chong could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Calvin Fitz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Thomas Chong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Calvin Fitz!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fitz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Chong's half guard.
Chong is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fitz scores with a couple of nice shots.
Chong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fitz thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Fitz is trying to control the action in half guard but Chong is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Chong moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Fitz throwing strikes from guard but Chong blocks nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fitz trying to control the position from guard on top but Chong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chong will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Chong holds on and takes a little breather.
Chong keeping moving, preventing Fitz from controlling successfully.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Fitz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Chong throws a nice head kick!

Fitz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chong did well to prevent Fitz getting side control.
Chong definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Chong wants to get back to full guard.
Fitz is keen to just control but Chong is a slippery customer.
Chong is controlling Fitz's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Fitz is nestled in close to Chong, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fitz stops Chong from getting back to his feet.
Chong wants to control but Fitz is keeping busy.
Fitz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Chong wants to improve his position but Fitz is controlling well.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Chong throws a head kick that Fitz semi-blocks.
Fitz throws a sloppy head kick and Chong moves out of range easily.

Chong lands a big head kick that sends Fitz tumbling to the mat! Chong takes a step backwards and waves Fitz back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Fitz is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chong lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Fitz crumples to the floor! Chong milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
