Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dougie McFistface (ranked 2888 p4p, 4909 weight class) and Paul Herrera (ranked 370 p4p, 568 weight class). McFistface kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tiptoe Through The Tulips. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFistface shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Herrera sprawls well. Herrera wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McFistface gets slowly back to his feet.
McFistface avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
McFistface misses with a wild body shot.
Herrera misses the shot to the body.

Herrera closes the distance and clinches.
A nice left hand lands by McFistface.

Herrera tightens his grip and picks McFistface up, before dumping him to the ground. McFistface manages to land in guard.

Herrera decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Herrera misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Herrera lands with a nice combination. McFistface backs away looking to recover.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McFistface connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Herrera looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

McFistface pushes Herrera off and scrambles back to his feet.

Herrera misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

McFistface gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Our sources have told us that McFistface has been working on his elbows in the gym.

McFistface breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Excellent takedown into side control there by McFistface.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Herrera tries to get back to half guard but can't.

McFistface takes a little break here. Herrera wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
McFistface has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

McFistface is working to tighten his grip on Herrera's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Herrera has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but McFistface is really squeezing tight and eventually Herrera passes out! McFistface breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
