The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paynuss tries to clinch up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Paynuss looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Paynuss tries to clinch but Kerr moves out of range.
Paynuss wants to clinch.
Kerr changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Kerr drives through and clinches with Paynuss against the cage.
Paynuss can't break the clinch.
Kerr gets through Paynuss's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Paynuss misses with a knee to the head.
Paynuss wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kerr breaks from the clinch.
Kerr throws a sloppy head kick and Paynuss moves out of range easily.
Kerr looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Paynuss is fending him off so far but Kerr persists. Nope, Paynuss circles away and we're back to standing.

Paynuss darts in trying to clinch
and Kerr counters with a head kick.

Good work by Paynuss as he checks the leg kick.
Kerr misses with an uppercut. Paynuss saw that one coming.

Paynuss wants to clinch but Kerr slips to the side

and Kerr counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kerr.
Kerr manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Paynuss wants to stall.
Kerr tries to land a knee to the head but Paynuss blocks with his arms.
Paynuss trying to stall but Kerr improves his position.
Paynuss is trying to break free.
Paynuss has Kerr pushed against the cage.
Kerr tries for a takedown. No joy.

Taargus Paynuss is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kerr has taken the fight to the clinch.
Paynuss wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kerr has him pressed against the cage.

Kerr jumps into guard, dragging Paynuss to the mat.

Kerr manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
