Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, JR Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Ryland!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins jabs Ryland right on the nose. Ryland blinks but takes it well.
Ryland missing with a left hand there. Jenkins was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jenkins connects with a nice short shot to Ryland's temple.

Jenkins looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ryland with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ryland won't allow Jenkins to pass to mount.

Ryland is staying active underneath Jenkins, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Ryland jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jenkins walks away with a smile on his face. Ryland gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jenkins has closed the distance and engaged Ryland in a clinch.

Ryland stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ryland wants it to stay on the feet.
Ryland unleashes a big counter combination but Jenkins bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Jenkins uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ryland.

Jenkins has picked Ryland up - he's going for a ride! Jenkins dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Jenkins looks up at the clock and then as Ryland takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jenkins smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Jenkins tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jenkins has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ryland is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Jenkins is controlling him well.
Jenkins misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That was a close second round but I would say that JR Jenkins will probably get the nod.

It looks like JR Jenkins has been cut.

Ryland lands a big right hand that sends Jenkins crashing to the mat! Ryland stays standing though and waves Jenkins back to his feet!
Oh Jenkins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ryland cracks Jenkins with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Jenkins falls to his knees and Ryland doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
