Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Blaze (ranked 3111 p4p, 5628 weight class) and Jerry Spike (ranked 427 p4p, 639 weight class). Blaze comes to the cage accompanied by VIGILANTE THA’ PROPHIT. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spike throws a looping overhand right but Blaze ducks down to avoid it.
Spike misses with an uppercut.
Blaze tries to counter with a takedown but Spike is quick to defend against it.

Spike lands a really nice looking cross but Blaze seems unphased.
Blaze bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Spike is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Blaze.

Blaze looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Blaze shoots in looking for a takedown. Spike tries to sprawl out of it but Blaze keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spike manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
