Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lee Tokishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armando del Sexay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee Tokishima has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
del Sexay keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tokishima fails to land the takedown.
del Sexay throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tokishima shoots in for a takedown but del Sexay shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Tokishima. That's going to take a lot out of him.

del Sexay rushes Tokishima and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
del Sexay jumps guard but Tokishima stands there with del Sexay around his waist. del Sexay gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Tokishima connects with a nasty looking knee right to del Sexay's face.

del Sexay gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Tokishima regains guard.

del Sexay drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and del Sexay jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Tokishima manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. del Sexay manages to get himself to full guard.
Tokishima really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

del Sexay controls Tokishima momentarily but Tokishima frees himself.
del Sexay has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Tokishima trying to control but del Sexay is working from the bottom.
Tokishima is looking to stand up but del Sexay won't let him.
del Sexay working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tokishima.
del Sexay is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tokishima missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

del Sexay has his foot on Tokishima's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tokishima works his way back into a safe position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
del Sexay tries to clinch up.

del Sexay darts in and clinches Tokishima up against the cage.
Tokishima jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as del Sexay walks away with a smile on his face. Tokishima gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Tokishima shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has del Sexay pinned against the cage. del Sexay gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

del Sexay closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - del Sexay lands in his opponent's guard.
del Sexay looks gassed!
del Sexay throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tokishima works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
del Sexay passes easily into side control. Nice work.
del Sexay works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Tokishima is trying to get back to half guard.
Tokishima stops del Sexay from passing to mount.

del Sexay stands up and beckons Tokishima to his feet.
Tokishima closes the distance but del Sexay moves to the side

and del Sexay counters by clinching up.
Tokishima wants to stall.
Knees to the body from Tokishima.
Tokishima has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. del Sexay avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Tokishima gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from del Sexay.

del Sexay ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. del Sexay no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

del Sexay is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
del Sexay looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tokishima passes into half guard.
Tokishima blocks the strikes from del Sexay.
Tokishima wants to lay and pray for a moment but del Sexay keeps working.
del Sexay is looking for a sweep. Tokishima is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tokishima looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks del Sexay with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Armando del Sexay dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Tokishima has his takedown stuffed

and del Sexay counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

del Sexay has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Tokishima is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. del Sexay yanks on the arm and Tokishima is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by del Sexay.
