Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Zenin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akio Tomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zenin comes to the cage accompanied by Helloween - Power. Tomi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rising Empire. Akio Tomi will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Tomi tries to clinch up but Zenin circles away and keeps his distance.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tomi.
Tomi dives in and grabs Zenin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zenin pushes down on Tomi's head and hops out.
Zenin leaves Tomi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Tomi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zenin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Zenin swats away the attempt to clinch by Tomi.
Tomi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Zenin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tomi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Vladimir Zenin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akio Tomi.

Zenin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Tomi tries to close the distance and clinch but Zenin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Zenin tests Tomi's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Zenin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Tomi is trying desperately to land a takedown but Zenin is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Tomi.
Zenin slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Zenin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Tomi gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Akio Tomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
