PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Spade (ranked 2459 p4p, 2741 weight class) and Igor Blancho (ranked 319 p4p, 352 weight class). Spade kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ace of spades by Motorhead. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Igor Blancho!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blancho tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spade sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Blancho somewhat.
No luck for Blancho with that takedown attempt.

Jack Spade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Blancho.

Blancho fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Spade to the ground. Blancho is now in Spade's guard.
Spade definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Spade working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blancho doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blancho manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Spade tries for a kimura but Blancho is defending well.
