Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Barnes (ranked 1290 p4p, 932 weight class) and Charlie Chan (ranked 169 p4p, 131 weight class). Barnes comes to the cage accompanied by We Want The Funk. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barnes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Barnes wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Chan is now in half guard.
Chan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Barnes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Chan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Barnes is looking to escape.

That was a close round but I would say that Derrick Barnes will probably get the nod.

Barnes jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!
