Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Hall (ranked 1019 p4p, 1879 weight class) and Naiki Nekele (ranked 143 p4p, 253 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall throws a right and a left that Nekele avoids nicely.
Hall gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

It looks like Charlie Hall has been cut.

Nekele connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hall's hands.
Nekele moves out of range as Hall throws a body kick.
Nekele throws out a counter right but Hall avoids it with no problem.
Nekele defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hall.
Hall uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nekele.
Nekele fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hall manages to avoid it.

Hall takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Nekele throws out a loose jab but Hall uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hall looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Nekele lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Hall is looking to break free of the clinch but Nekele has double underhooks.
Hall throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Nekeles head.
Nekele lands with a light punch inside.

Nekele breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hall shoots in for a takedown but Nekele shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nekele looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Hall tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Nekele throws a hook to the side of Hall's head but Hall sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Charlie Hall's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Nekele ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hall moves away.
Hall is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Nekele's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Nekele digs a good body shot into Hall's ribs.
Hall shoots for a takedown but Nekele saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A little jabbing left from Nekele on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Nekele ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hall moves away.

Hall goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hall thuds his shin into the meat of Nekele's side.
Nekele connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Jeez, Charlie Hall's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Hall throws a poor cross that misses
and Nekele counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Nekele has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hall tries to land a front kick but Nekele steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
The fighters circling - Nekele throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hall is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Nekele misses with a body shot.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Hall changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nekele tries to avoid it but Hall manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nekele to the ground. Nekele escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hall will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nekele. Hall does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nekele on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hall. Hall obviously looking to wear him down.
