Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anthon Van Der Dusse (ranked 3191 p4p, 21679 weight class) and Lester Burnham (ranked 324 p4p, 552 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anthon Van Der Dusse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lester Burnham!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Bruno Hogan and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Der Dusse takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Van Der Dusse shoots in for a takedown but Burnham shows good takedown defense.
Burnham scores with a body shot.
Burnham misses with a hook.
Burnham lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Burnham ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Van Der Dusse moves away.

Burnham is trying to get back to full guard.
Van Der Dusse wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burnham keeps working.
Burnham has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at DanBills Sketchy Basement. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Van Der Dusse thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Burnham's head.
Burnham has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Van Der Dusse is working away from the top position though.

Burnham is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Burnham wants to control but Van Der Dusse is having none of it.
The referee warns Burnham that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Burnham is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burnham passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Van Der Dusse!

Van Der Dusse is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Burnham wants to control the pace but Van Der Dusse is squirming around nicely.
Burnham tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That was a close round but I would say that Anthon Van Der Dusse will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Burnham throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Burnham throws a chopping leg kick but Van Der Dusse manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Burnham scores with a kick to the body.
Burnham misses the shot to the body.
We've been told by Van Der Dusse's head coaches at Advanced Fitness Inc. that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Burnham bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Van Der Dusse wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Burnham tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van Der Dusse is looking to regain half guard here but Burnham keeps moving and retains side control.

Burnham is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Van Der Dusse is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Van Der Dusse is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Burnham asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Burnham wants to pass to mount but Van Der Dusse is defending the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Burnham wants to control from the top but Van Der Dusse keeps moving.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Burnham throws a hook but Van Der Dusse avoids it easily.
Burnham throws a head kick that misses.
Burnham swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Van Der Dusse looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Van Der Dusse shoots in looking for a takedown but Burnham manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Van Der Dusse's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
And Burnham responds with a good body kick, but Van Der Dusse manages to step out the way in time.
Burnham defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Van Der Dusse.
Van Der Dusse fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Lester Burnham showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Horrible takedown attempt by Van Der Dusse or perhaps it was just good defense by Burnham, which made it look bad.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Burnham utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Van Der Dusse connects with a couple of short punches.

Burnham is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Van Der Dusse has his hands clasped together but Burnham extends and breaks Van Der Dusse's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Burnham.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Lester Burnham!
