Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Terrance Harris (ranked 2585 p4p, 1342 weight class) and Terry Silver (ranked 332 p4p, 185 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Terry Silver was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Terrance Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Silver!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Silver.
Sloppy strikes from Harris. Those never looked like landing.
Silver lands a jab to the head.
It looks like Terrance Harris has been cut.
Silver throws a hook but Harris avoids it easily.

No joy there for Harris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Silver might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Silver throws out a loose jab but Harris uses good head movement to avoid it.
Harris wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Harris does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Silver stalks Harris and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Harris's face. Harris staggers backwards, shaken.

Harris scores with a jab. Silver acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Harris avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Silver uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Terrance Harris's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Harris counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Harris might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Terry Silver was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
