Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kyle ONeill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Houston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kyle ONeill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Eric Houston!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

ONeill gets caught flat footed, as Houston shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Houston trying to control the position from guard on top but ONeill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Houston throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as ONeill works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Houston throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Houston slips nicely into half guard.
Houston missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
ONeill is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Houston's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Houston's back!
Houston trying to control the hands but ONeill breaks the grip.

ONeill lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by ONeill.
ONeill lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Houston.

ONeill avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Houston.
ONeill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
ONeill wants to control but Houston is keeping busy.
Houston thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed ONeill's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
ONeill misses with a takedown attempt

and Houston decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in ONeill's guard.
Houston looks gassed!
Houston throws a big right hand that misses.
ONeill punching to the body, from the bottom.
ONeill wants to sweep here but Houston controlling him for the moment.

Houston stands up from guard. Let's bang!

and Houston counters with a nice double leg into side control. ONeill won't be happy with that.

Houston creates some space and throws a big elbow, but ONeill sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
ONeill is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Houston's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Houston is squirming around, avoiding ONeill's attempts to control the action.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Houston counters with a nice double leg into side control. ONeill won't be happy with that.
ONeill tries to improve position but can't.
Houston scoring with punches and elbows.

Houston might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control ONeill kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Houston gets to mount! ONeill was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Houston goes for an armbar but he's not got it… ONeill turns into him and now he's in Houston's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

ONeill passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. ONeill connects with a nice short shot to Houston's temple.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
ONeill lands with a punch from half guard.

ONeill decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
ONeill gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Houston counters with a single leg into guard. ONeill didn't expect that.
Houston in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Houstonis looking to pass into half guard but ONeill pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now ONeill is in guard.
Houston is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
ONeill slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
ONeill forces his way into half guard.

Houston regains full guard. Nicely done.
ONeill preventing the sweep.
ONeill stays in close to Houston's body and controls the position.

ONeill lands a couple of decent looking shots.

ONeill decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Houston, up you get!

ONeill regains half guard there - taking advantage of Houston's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

ONeill tries to kick Houston off but Houston keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Houston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Houston has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing ONeill to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Houston is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - ONeill pulls down on the head and he's put Houston to sleep! This one is all over!
