Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fauni Figueroa (ranked 4860 p4p, 5395 weight class) and Laurenz Thibodeaux (ranked 587 p4p, 627 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fauni Figueroa !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Laurenz Thibodeaux!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Figueroa scores with a shot to the body.
Thibodeaux gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Figueroa to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Figueroa throws a strike but Thibodeaux rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Thibodeaux not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Figueroa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Figueroa tries to get out of the position.
Thibodeaux frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
My spies in ubergym inform me that Thibodeaux has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Thibodeaux wants to finish this one by submission but Figueroa is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Thibodeaux.

Figueroa tries to hold on but Thibodeaux postures up.

Thibodeaux shoots in for a double leg but Figueroa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Figueroa half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
