Siedenkranz comes to the cage accompanied by Undead. Friedrich Siedenkranz has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Iron Mike!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mike lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Siedenkranz sprawling to the canvas. Mike follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Siedenkranz hang on?


It looks like Friedrich Siedenkranz has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mike not doing much here.
Siedenkranz is looking for a sweep. Mike is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Siedenkranz slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Siedenkranz had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mike is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Siedenkranz Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mike's back instead.

Siedenkranz patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Mike is trying to break free.

Mike tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Mike is desperately trying to improve his position but Siedenkranz has a good base and remains in mount.

Mike is looking to improve his position but Siedenkranz isn't that keen on the idea.
Mike is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Siedenkranz avoids the attempt from Mike to control.
Mike might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Siedenkranz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Siedenkranz is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mike has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mike!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Siedenkranz is breathing heavily.
Mike controls from within his opponent's guard.
Mike stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Siedenkranz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mike must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mike slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Mike trying to control but Siedenkranz is working from the bottom.
Mike controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Siedenkranz wants to sweep but no luck.
Mike won't allow Siedenkranz to get back to his feet.
Siedenkranz trying to keep a closed guard but Mike is proving a slippery customer.
Siedenkranz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Siedenkranz tries to get out of the position.
Mike stands up over Siedenkranz, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Siedenkranz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mike controls from within his opponent's guard.
Mike passes Siedenkranz's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Siedenkranz tries to get to full guard but Mike has control of the leg.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mike slows the pace down in half guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Iron Mike just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mike throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Siedenkranz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mike throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A jab lands there for Mike.
Siedenkranz dodges the punch combination from Mike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Iron Mike dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Friedrich Siedenkranz's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!


Siedenkranz takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Mike lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Siedenkranz sprawling to the canvas. Mike follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Siedenkranz hang on?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mike is controlling the pace.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mike passes to side control.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Mike. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Siedenkranz is working to avoid the ground and pound but Mike connects with a decent elbow.
The referee asks Mike politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mike prefers to stall for the moment though.
Mike trying to control the position but Siedenkranz is working away.
Siedenkranz is looking for a sweep.
Siedenkranz trying his best to control but Mike has mounted him.
Mike is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Siedenkranz can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Siedenkranz tries to lock up and control but Mike gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Siedenkranz is trying to escape the mount.
A nice elbow there by Mike.

Mike pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Mike controlling his opponent.
Let's hope that Mike has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Siedenkranz tries to reverse the position but Mike maintains control.
Mike sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Mike scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mike walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Siedenkranz drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Mike swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Siedenkranz's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Iron Mike!
