PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Woodrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oren Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Woodrow comes into the arena with The Lumberjack Song blaring out of the sound system. Oren Hunter told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodrow misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hunter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Woodrow swings for the body but Hunter moves out of range.
Woodrow scores with a jab to the body.
Woodrow throws a body punch but Hunter moves out of range.
Hunter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Woodrow.
Woodrow scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Woodrow connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hunter. Hunter circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Woodrow misses with a few strikes there.
Woodrow tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hunter was well out of range. Poor timing from Woodrow.
Hunter moves out of range of the strikes.
Woodrow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hunter paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Woodrow throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hunter ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Woodrow will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hunter swats away the attempt to clinch by Woodrow.
Hunter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Woodrow throws out the jab.
Woodrow throws a hook but Hunter avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Woodrow looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hunter walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
