Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Barhydt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jackson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I Get Money. John Barhydt will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Barhydt!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barhydt wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance.
Barhydt is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Barhydt tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Barhydt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Barhydt tries to clinch up.
Barhydt stalks Jackson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jackson's face. Jackson staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Curtis Jackson has been cut.
Barhydt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Barhydt tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jackson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Jackson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Jackson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson drops an elbow to the side of Barhydt's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jackson lands a nice short elbow.
Jackson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Barhydt with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jackson is working for a kimura but Barhydt is defending it quite comfortably.

Jackson lands with a punch from half guard.
Jackson lands strikes from half guard.
Barhydt trying to control from the bottom.
Barhydt blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jackson.

Jackson is looking for a kimura here.
Barhydt gets full guard.
Jackson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Jackson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Barhydt is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackson is aware though and is defending well.

Barhydt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jackson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jackson lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Jackson is working Barhydt over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Jackson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jackson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Barhydt is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Barhydt has escaped and now he's on top!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jackson is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Barhydt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Jackson moves out of range as Barhydt throws a body kick.
Jackson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Barhydt closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Jackson has clasped his hands together around Barhydt's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Jackson scores with a couple of short elbows.
Barhydt is looking for a sweep.

Barhydt wants to get back to his feet but Jackson drags him back down.
Barhydt struggling a bit here.
Jackson works to advance to full mount. Barhydt defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Barhydt can't escape the position.
Barhydt is bucking up trying to escape but Jackson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Barhydt is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jackson unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Barhydt wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Jackson celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Curtis Jackson!
